The MEng in Applied Climate at the University of Michigan College of Engineering will be renamed to 'MEng in Climate Impacts & Solutions' starting Fall 2025. The program is tailored to train students with a strong applied focus—blending engineering, climate science, and data analytics. Students complete a rigorous set of core courses in climate practicum, climate change in planning and design, and a year-long practicum project engaging with real-world clients and climate challenges such as scenario planning, vulnerability assessment, hydrologic modeling, and climate action plans.
