The MA Social Science Research (Sociology) at the University of Nottingham is designed for students aiming to proceed onto an ESRC-funded PhD or those seeking to develop a broad suite of research skills in social science. The programme equips students with advanced theoretical and practical tools for independent research, covering data collection and analysis, philosophical, ethical and political foundations of social research, and the principles of research design. Students will complete a combination of core methods modules, subject-specific training, electives, and a dissertation.
