The Joint BCL/JD and MSW program at McGill University enables students to obtain both a law degree (BCL/JD) and a Master of Social Work (MSW) in a condensed time frame. The program is conducted over 4 years on a full-time basis and requires the completion of 132 credits: 45 for the MSW and 87 for the integrated BCL/JD. The first year is devoted exclusively to law studies; subsequent years blend law and social work courses, including field placements and an independent study project that fulfills both professional requirements. Graduates are prepared for roles that intersect law and social equity, policy, advocacy, and social justice.
