The Master of Science (Applied) programs in Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy at McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences are professional, full-time, course-based degrees preparing graduates for licensure and practice in physiotherapy or occupational therapy. The MSc (Applied) in Physical Therapy is a 63-credit, 5-semester program including 1,050 hours of clinical practicum and a capstone project. The MSc (Applied) in Occupational Therapy is similarly structured and both emphasize client-centered, evidence-based practice, as well as research skills and clinical competency across orthopedics, neurology, and cardiorespiratory areas (PT) or diverse client populations (OT). Both programs typically require – for non-specific undergraduate backgrounds – the completion of a structured Qualifying Year to bridge disciplinary gaps. The Faculty is internationally recognized for research and education in rehabilitation and health sciences.
