The Master of Architecture (Post-professional) – Urban Design and Housing at McGill University’s Peter Guo-hua Fu School of Architecture is a specialized graduate program focused on the intersections of architecture, urban design, and housing. Drawing on a tradition established in the 1960s, this program explores housing and human settlements through research on domestic environments, urban strategies, cultural landscapes, and innovative housing models. With an international reputation, the program aims to engage practitioners and researchers in examining the roles of housing in communities, promoting design methodologies that integrate spatial, social, and environmental concerns. It is interdisciplinary, welcoming applicants from architecture, planning, and landscape architecture backgrounds, and emphasizes hands-on, project-based learning with a strong research component.
