Emory College of Arts and Sciences formerly offered an undergraduate major in Medieval and Renaissance Studies, focusing on interdisciplinary and cross-cultural studies of societies and cultures from Late Antiquity through the seventeenth century. The program drew on faculty and courses across disciplines such as Art History, Classics, Comparative Literature, English, History, Languages, Music, Philosophy, Religion, and more. However, as of the 2024–2025 academic year, the undergraduate major in Medieval-Renaissance Studies has been suspended and is no longer available for new students. Interested undergraduates may still enroll in a wide variety of medieval studies courses across related departments.
