The Master of Music in Music Therapy at the Frost School of Music, University of Miami, is a graduate program designed for students with a Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy (or equivalent). The program consists of 30 credit hours focused on advanced clinical practice, research, or college teaching, building expertise in areas such as Neurologic Music Therapy. The curriculum prepares students for careers as advanced practitioners, researchers, or educators. Students work closely with internationally recognized faculty and choose either a clinical or thesis track; the program includes hands-on clinical work in Miami area hospitals and agencies. For students without an undergraduate background in music therapy, a 3-year curriculum is available, including prerequisite coursework in music, psychology, and biology to meet entry-level clinical competencies. Graduate assistantships are available for qualified applicants.
