The BA in Spanish Language, Literature, and Culture at Syracuse University's College of Arts and Sciences offers cross-disciplinary exposure to the Spanish language and its linguistic, literary, and cultural manifestations across Europe, South America, Central America, the Caribbean, Mexico, and the United States. The curriculum solidifies Spanish language skills through progressive coursework, followed by advanced courses in literature, culture, and linguistics. Students take at least one upper-level course each in Peninsular Literature and Culture, Latin American Literature and Culture, Latino Literature and Culture, and Spanish Linguistics. Experiential opportunities include study abroad in Madrid, Spain or Santiago, Chile, and optional internships or capstone projects for eligible students. Graduates are prepared for diverse careers in healthcare, journalism, communications, international business, education, and more.
