EPFL's Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering provides robust training in mathematical, physical, and engineering fundamentals in the first year, followed by focused study of electronics, circuits, signals and systems, and electromagnetics. The program features a strong balance between theory (lectures, core courses) and practical laboratory work (especially in the third year), fostering both academic and hands-on engineering skills. In the final year, students can orient their learning toward two of three specialist fields: Information and communication technologies, Micro- and nanoelectronics, or Smart grids science and technology. Team-based projects and lab components are central, preparing graduates for both advanced study and diverse engineering careers.
