The Master of Science in Engineering Technology and Management for Agricultural Systems (ETMAS), offered by the College of Agricultural, Consumer & Environmental Sciences (ACES) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, provides advanced education and research opportunities at the intersection of agriculture, engineering, technology, and management. The program is at the forefront of applying engineering principles to address contemporary problems in agricultural production, utilization, environmental control, and biological systems. Students can pursue traditional MS or Professional Science Master's (PSM) tracks, and may also opt for computational or energy and sustainability specializations. The curriculum combines core and elective coursework in mathematics, computer science, engineering, animal and crop science, as well as professional development, critical thinking, and ethical leadership skills. Graduates are prepared for technical and managerial careers in industry, research, and consulting in the agricultural and biological engineering sectors.
