The Bachelor of Convergent Biotechnology and Advanced Materials Science at Kyung Hee University's College of Life Sciences is a unique interdisciplinary undergraduate program newly established in 2025 by merging the Department of Oriental Medicine Biotechnology and the Department of Plant Environment New Materials Engineering. It is Korea’s only undergraduate department integrating green, red, and white biotechnology with materials/nano/energy technology. The curriculum focuses on developing expertise and creativity for the next-generation advanced bio-business field through tracks such as Digital Innovation Drug Discovery, Advanced Green Bio, and Sustainable Biomaterials. The department emphasizes carbon neutrality, eco-friendly materials, digital healthcare, and solutions for societal challenges, offering a multidisciplinary education integrating biotechnology, engineering, nanotechnology, and IT.
