The A.B. in Near Eastern Studies at Princeton University's College of Arts and Sciences enables undergraduates to gain competence in one or more Near Eastern languages and to develop a broad, interdisciplinary understanding of the ancient, medieval, and modern civilizations of the Near East, defined as the Arab world, Iran, Israel, and Turkey. The program's courses cover languages, literature, religion, history, anthropology, politics, public policy, and related areas, preparing students for careers or further study relating to the region.
