The Bachelor of Arts in Arts and Humanities at Michigan State University's Residential College in the Arts and Humanities (RCAH) provides students with a highly individualized, interdisciplinary curriculum focused on the liberal, visual, and performing arts. The program emphasizes writing, transcultural relations, community engagement, and language & culture studies. Students are encouraged to pursue dual degrees or specializations outside RCAH. Core requirements include courses in writing, theory and methods in the arts, the presence of the past, transcultural relations, community engagement, and language studies. Pathways in either arts or community engagement allow specialization. RCAH is a tight-knit learning community offering personalized instruction with the resources of a Big Ten research university.
