NYU Arts & Science encompasses CAS, Liberal Studies, and GSAS; within NYU’s global network, the MFA in Art and Media is offered at NYU Abu Dhabi. It is a full-time, studio‑intensive, interdisciplinary program at the crossroads of practice and theory. The curriculum blends contemporary art and media practices with cultural heritage, art theory, media studies, and emerging technologies, emphasizing critique- and studio-based instruction and encouraging cross‑disciplinary work culminating in an MFA thesis project, exhibition, and a 90‑minute oral defense in the NYUAD Art Gallery.
